Leading fashion retailer River Island has completed the installation of a new access control system at its head office in central London which is based around TSSI’s established enGuard secure identification technology.
enGuard is a powerful pc-based document production, management and ID verification system that allows the end user to create personalised secure ID cards and tailor the information that each card contains to a given application.
At River Island, installer Axxess28 had to link a number of automatic doors, turnstiles and vehicle barriers used by the company’s 800 members of staff. Entrance is now controlled via proximity readers, with employees carrying individual cards to prevent unauthorised access.
There is an option to upgrade and improve the system, with opportunities for fingerprint recognition and cashless vending.
