Styletech’s Paul Woodcock said: “Working in consultation with the hotel owners, a key element of their brief was to provide a total ‘one-stop-shop’ solution. This involved not only designing a clean, modern state-of-the-art access control solution for the comfort and convenience of the guests, but also supplying a complete architectural ironmongery package for the refurbishment of the building.”
To achieve this Styletech installed the XS4 electronic smart lock in a brushed stainless steel finish into all the bedrooms as well as back of house doors and service rooms.
And, to control employee access, an online wall reader unit utilising is linked in to the handle sets, spreading the access control system further into the building whilst still allowing for on-line access provision where needed.
Using Salto’s Virtual Network allows the Brew House Hotel to read, receive and write information to and from its smart staff ID cards and eliminates the need to replace locks if security is breached due to the loss or theft of a staff ID card. SVN’s built-in audit trail facility can also be used as a management tool if required to check staff times when arriving at and leaving work.
