It enables installers to implement biometric security into the end user’s existing enGuardPro access control infrastructures without having to hardwire cabling into walls, reducing costs.
The RC-04i is a TCP/IP enabled device, which allows businesses to incorporate a variety of reader technologies including biometrics. The RC-04i utilises the existing LAN/WAN infrastructure to communicate events back to the administrators PC.
Where structured cabling between a controller and PC is not possible, the RC-04i wireless variant will support installers by assisting communication back to a PC. TSSI says this is a practical solution for a gatehouse at the end of a driveway that needs to communicate with the host PC without cabling.
Managing up to 22,000 cardholders and two readers, the control unit is well suited to large corporations where security is critical and offices are geographically dispersed.
