Honeywell has revealed the latest addition to its access control software suite, WIN-PAK XE.
The new version, known as the ‘Xpress Edition’, is suitable for businesses that require access control only through a single workstation system.
Honeywell say it is a cost-effective solutiuon that can be easily expanded into a more comprehensive integrated Honeywell security solution.
The XE version will sit alongside WIN-PAK SE (Standard Edition) and PE (Professional Edition), and companies using XE can easily upgrade to the other versions.
Featuring a quick start wizard for ease of installation and programming, WIN-PAK SE can support up to 30,000 doors and an unlimited number of cards without additional licence fees.
The system supports NetAXS-123 and NeAXS-4 access control panels, and WIN-PAK XE can identify the panels on dynamic IP addresses, avoiding the cost of a fixed IP address.
Other features of the WIN-PAK XE edition include:
- advanced reporting capabilities;
- attendance tracking applications;
- floor plans;
- photo ID badging;
- user defined automation.
Honeywell product manager Rene von Franquemont, said: “One of the main advantages of WIN-PAK over the years has been its ability to grow with businesses as their needs change, and WIN-PAK XE is part of that strategy. Organisations should have the flexibility to start with an access control only solution and upgrade it with video and intrusion capabilities as their businesses grow. WIN-PAK XE is a great choice for small and medium enterprises that are looking ahead.”
