Innovation at IFSEC: Video-Streaming Box for Door-Entry Panels by fastTEL

Fasttell are showcasing a “black box” that streams audio and video from the Belgium-based company’s door entry panels to Android Apple and Windows PCs via wi-fi or 3G/4G.

Filip Hoskens, the company’s sales director, tells IFSEC Global why he thinks it warrants a place on the Innovation Trail at IFSEC International 2015.

IFSEC Global: Can you please tell me a bit about the product and what it does?

Filip Hoskens: It streams the audio and video of our door-entry panels to Android, Apple and windows PC. For each of them we have developed a special app.

IG: Why is it innovative? What does it do that no other product does?

FH: It’s in our name: fastTEL. Our speciality is the integration of our door phones in the client’s telephony system. What is so special about this new product is that both the normal telephones and – at the same time – the iphones/ipads/android/windows PCs get the call. That mixture is unique.

IG: Why did the company feel there was a need in the market for such a product?

FH: iPads fixed on the wall are replacing traditional screens more and more. There used to be a display for home automation, a display for the music system and for the CCTV.

All major manufacturers now have an app now to install on iPad which replaces all those different screens. So the demand for the door entry system on that central ipad is the next step.

IG: Which kind of customers will be interested in this product?

FH: Most villa houses and companies who desire images on PC with a pop-up and everyone who needs wireless solutions.

IG: What are your plans or expectations for IFSEC?

FH: Recruiting sole distributors.
