The ievo micro has many of the features of the company’s ‘ultimate’ reader – such as a multi-spectral imaging sensor, seamless integration and an 8,000 unique fingerprint capacity – but has been designed specifically for indoor use.
Other features include ‘spoof detection’ – where the reader is able to differentiate between live human fingerprints as opposed to synthetic prints – yet the reader can still work with creams and powders on the skin and some types of latex gloves.
Seamless integration into existing card, fob and proximity systems is also a feature of the reader, says the company.
Shaun Oakes, ievo’s managing director, said the reader has already been quoted for projects including cash offices, server rooms, office blocks and even domestic promises, showing that there is a specific market for this type of product.
