I have to say I disagree with the survey in the video it is the responsibility of the enterprise and not the cloud service provider to encrypt and take care of the data. Anything else is counter intuitive. I am a firm believer in encrypting data before pushing it to the cloud just because you eliminate another potential weak spot when you take that responsibility out of the service providers hands. I don’t know maybe I am just paranoid.
‘@Jonathan Lipscomb has an intersting point. I think a lot of people expect the supplier of cloud storage to take care of all the secruity and encryptions, but the truth of the matter is that if you’re going to put your private data on a storage system that has public access, they need to take responsiblity too!
