A product to protect buildings from arson attacks through letterboxes has been launched by PowerPrize.
IdealGuard protects occupants and property against various forms of attack, including liquid activated arson, fireworks, and theft, and can be fitted to most doors. Inside it is fitted onto apertures arranged at any level, while outside it is mounted as a mailbox. IdealGuard expels liquids by the force of gravity, while the introduction of solid hazards can be restricted to various security levels. Meanwhile, the strong steel watertight body provides further protection and stops draughts, thereby saving on energy bills.
The company says by attaching the product to the letterplate, it will not cause damage to the door structure and the external appearance of the door remains the same. IdealGuard is suitable for any door material and compatible with nearly all types of new and retrofit doors in residential and commercial properties.
