Don’t Miss Out on the Latest Fire Safety Innovations at FIREX International 2015

The most innovative products in fire safety are being flagged prominently at this year’s FIREX International 2015 on an ‘Innovation Trail’.

Organisers of the show asked exhibitors to apply for inclusion on the Trail and have sifted through submissions to highlight only recently launched products that are genuinely innovative.

Highlights of the FIREX Innovation Trail includes C-TEC’s powerful proprietary addressable protocol, CAST, along with a new range of EN54-23 certified visual alarm devices (VADs).

We’ve already reported on 3 Innovative Products in Heat and Smoke Detection that are appearing on the show floor.

Hilti Great Britain will showcase their new universal solution for firestopping combustible pipes.

The Hilti CFS-C EL Firestop Collar Endless – which also features in our breakdown of 5 Exciting Fire Innovations at FIREX International 2015 –can fit around not only straight pipes but also pipe elbows, inclined pipes and pipes with limited clearance to walls, ceilings or other pipes.

Patol is using FIREX International as a platform to introduce new additions to the company’s range of linear heat detection cables (LHDC), providing the capability to detect fire at higher temperatures.

And FFE Ltd will use the annual industry gathering to unveil its bespoke Talentum flame detector.  Developed to protect the pilot attempting to break 1000mph in a bid to break the land speed record next year, the Talentum flame detector also features in our article on 3 Innovations in Fire Doors, Fire Suppression and Fire-Resistant Cables.

Protec Fire Detection will have their Cirrus HYBRID on display. We interviewed Michael Calvert, specialist detection systems manager at Protec, for the lowdown on this multi-sensor aspirating detector and why he believes it is innovative.

Explaining the strategic shift towards focusing more on innovation than ever before FIREX International’s event director, Gerry Dunphy, says: “Following our move in 2014 to London’s ExCeL we conducted a significant amount of research with both our exhibitors and visitors to get their thoughts on what they like about the show.

“And what they want to see more of, one of the key themes that kept coming up, is they wanted to see genuine innovation on the show floor. We are delighted to incorporate the Innovation Trail once again and we have some really exciting products and technology to showcase this year.
