A huge warehouse fire near Worcester has finally been extinguished, almost a week after it broke out.
At the height of the fire at a promotional packaging warehouse in Warndon, more than 100 firefighters were on the scene. According to reports in the Worcester Standard, the fire at B Smith Packaging was especially difficult to tackle, as encrusted plastic material would often re-ignite when pulled away by a digger from the inside of the building. A nearby nursery was evacuated as a precaution.
No one was injured in the fire.
