SentryPoint delivers customisable reports direct to a central database, allowing the client to confirm in real time that external resources such as manned guarding or facilities management suppliers are delivering against their contractual obligations, Intrepid says.
Although RFID technology has been available for some years, SentryPoint is the first to take full advantage of its potential to ensure that clients achieve maximum value from their external resources. SentryPoint does not depend on hand-held guard controlled devices. It is completely hands-free and can be deployed in any workplace environment to monitor the activities of contractors, according to Intrepid.
Managing director Noel Verbruggen said: “SentryPoint uses advanced RFID technology and a sophisticated software programme to deliver a truly effective and reliable performance monitoring solution. The software, which allows integration with access control and CCTV systems, can deliver a large variety of reports with each one customised to match the client’s specific operational requirements.”
A contractor wearing a SentryPoint tag only has to be in the general vicinity of an RFID reader for his/her presence to be registered. Instant alerts can be generated if there are any exceptions to predetermined patrolling activity, whilst the tags incorporate a PA button and a ‘Man Down’ report function. SentryPoint can also be programmed to enhance the safety of lone workers or track the movement of physical assets.
