Courion Corporation, leaders in access governance, provisioning and compliance, today announced the expansion of its research and development (R&D) operations with the addition of a new India Technology Center (ITC) in Pune.
According to Chris Zannetos, president and CEO of Courion, “The addition of our India Technology Center will enable us to further widen the ‘innovation gap’ over our competition at a time when enterprises worldwide are looking to use access assurance solutions to drive increased business value and enhanced security at a lower cost.”
Following on the heels of record financial performance in fiscal year 2008 and Q1 2009, Courion’s ITC will help meet increased customer demand by complementing the company’s existing research and development capabilities.
In addition to its focus on Courion’s access assurance suite of applications, the ITC will expand the company’s industry-leading library of connectors that integrate more than 160 applications by doubling that number by the end of next year, further improving support for specific industries such as healthcare, financial services, manufacturing and others.
Steady Growth
Courion has hired Shishir Khedkar, former senior director at Visage Mobile, where he oversaw global development teams, to head up the facility as its director of development. Prior to his role at Visage Mobile, Khedkar served as director of engineering at VeriSign where he was responsible for setting up VeriSign’s development center in Bangalore, India. Khedkar will be responsible for staffing, day-to-day administrative operations and overall strategic direction for the ITC.
