Most of the exhibitors at IFSEC South India 2011 were greatly happy with the quality of the visitors at the event. High-level government representation from different departs including Law & Order agencies were seen interacting the exhibitors.
They included Bipin Gopal Krishna, IPS, ADGP, (Anti-Terrorist Cell), Internal Security Division, Karnataka region and his team of almost 45 officers, N. U. Erappa, Chief Fire Officer, I. F. Badbade, Commandant, Brig. Muthanna, Dirctor, Centre for Counter-Terrorism, ISD, D Dharmaiah, Dy. Commissioner of Police (VVIP Security), among others. There were senior officers from Madras Engineering Group as well.
David Grinstead, VP, Worldwide Sales, Tyco Security Products, said, “We are happy with turnout at this event. We will indeed build on the new relationships that we have generated here.”
Warren Brown, Director of Product Management, Enterprise Commercial Solutions, Tyco Security Products, too was of a favourable opinion of IFSEC South India. He gave a thumbs-up to the event. Tyco Security, which has a base in Bengaluru, is look at expanding the reach into the huge India security market.
Prasad Parasuraman, Managing Director, PS TechCom, a Bengaluru-based company was quite favourable regarding the participation IFSEC South India. It mattered most as his company is based in the city. PS TechCom was able to generate a lot interest among the visitor community.
Stephen Paul M, CEO, Vouch Safe Technologies too shared Parasuraman’s sentiment. Their products found favour among the visitor community and it was evident with their stall packed with visitors. On the first day, the Karnataka Home Minister, R Ashok inaugurated their stall as well.
John Becker, Director of Sales, Asia, Tyco Security Products added, “This event has given us an opportunity to understand the local market in a more focussed way. We have had some good visitor profiles and will continue to forge and develop our base here.”
Major Amitava Mittra (Retd), CEO, BGI Engitech, a first-time participant at IFSEC was highly pleased with the response that he received from IFSEC South India. His products such bollards, which operates even if there is no power, and an intelligent tyre killer product generated a huge amount of buzz around his stall.
Prasad Gangavkar, MD, Elcom and Sanjay Jindal, of S J Security Systems too were highly optimistic regarding the event.
However, HID spokesperson said that the event fell short of their expectations and hoped that the event would turnout to be better later in the day.
