Installer Panther leaps into action for kids

The two companies, both BSIA members, helped with a project which was filmed for the TV makeover series, With a Little Help from my Friends, featuring Neil Morrissey and Linda Barker.
The team renovated a derelict youth centre for the ‘Kids Company’ project which included a quality intruder alarm. Panther Security MD Don Henshall said: “We are delighted to help. The youth centre has been transformed into a haven for children that particularly need to feel safe and secure. We installed the set alarm whilst the TV series was filming and it was quite an event to go on set – a bit of a different environment to the ones that my installers and I are used to.”

Jason Keeble, National Sales Manager of Visonic, said: “When I heard about the project I didn’t hesitate in committing to providing the equipment.”

Granada Television approached the BSIA for assistance with the project. Visonic donated all the security equipment and Colchester-based Panther installed it free of charge.
Elsewhere on TV, Dedicated Micros kit has been featured in two top programmes … The DS2 digital multiplexer has been in scenes in The Bill on ITV and has been used in The Salon on C4.
