Editor of Security Installer, Alan Hyder, presented Geoff with the keys to the distinctive car at the car dealership in Nottingham.
Geoff, the MD of Power Gates Ltd, based at Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, is an installer of industrial, residential and automated gates and traffic barrier systems and is a user of Wavelink’s wireless solutions which are based on new GSM mobile phone technology.
While he still uses traditional style systems, he said GSM mobile phone technology saved time and cost over wired systems has particularly made a difference to installs where the house has been a long way from the gates.
Installers who bought a door entry product in April, May and June had the chance to go into the competition, which was also featured at IFSEC 2006, and Geoff’s entry was the lucky name drawn out the hat.
