Alarm for small or temporary buildings

[

Designed for use in small retail, industrial or temporary buildings, the Klaxalarm Terrier fire alarm is battery-operated and does not require mains power.

The alarm is suitable for temporary use, such as on construction sites, camp sites or in marquees. It can also be used in permanent structures when the main fire alarm system is undergoing maintenance.

The Terrier emits three tones at an audibility of up to 97dB (A) at one metre, ensuring it can be heard above most background noise, says the company. Several units can be interlinked to provide additional coverage, so that when one call point is activated, all of the other units sound.

When fitted with an LR14 battery, the units will operate in standby mode for over 12 months. An audible warning is emitted when the battery power level becomes low.

Available in red, the Terrier has a rugged metal construction, says Klaxon, and is suitable for indoor use.

Also available as part of the Klaxalarm range is the Boxer, which is described as a simple combination of call point and sounder that provides a low-cost alternative to a full BS5839 alarm system.
