The award coincides with the launch of its new look guarding and fire and security systems website at www.securi-guard.co.uk (see the dedicated link on the right hand panel of this page), and follows last month’s launch of a new website dedicated to its monitoring services (www.securi-guardmonitoring.co.uk)
The new site was designed and constructed by the web team at Plymouth-based Company of Designers.
NSI Gold Awards on the rise
The award of Gold installer for fire alarms means that Securi-Guard now has the most NSI Gold accreditations of any independent fire and security firm in the South West of England. Importantly, the Gold standard also has accreditation from the British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE) – a Government supported body dedicated to improving standards in fire protection.
It’s the fourth Gold quality standard the Plymouth-based company has achieved. It already holds Gold awards for the installation of security systems, alarm monitoring through its Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and for its remote CCTV monitoring.
Paul Steeper – divisional manager for fire and security systems at Securi-Guard – explained that the accreditation was yet another industry endorsement of the company’s high quality of service to its clients.
“National Security Inspectorate approval means our customers can be safe in the knowledge that we provide a service that meets the highest recognised industry standards as demanded by the emergency services and the insurance industry,” said Steeper.
“To hold four NSI Gold accreditations is a considerable achievement, and testament to the hard work and dedication of all the staff in the company.”
Rigorous assessment and checking
The NSI, of course, is tasked with safeguarding the highest possible standards in the security industry. To secure the award, the company had to go through a tough and rigorous assessment by an NSI inspector, which involves checking in-house quality procedures and a detailed examination of customer documents, as well as actual alarm site checks.
NSI accreditation means that Securi-Guard meets specific criteria (including the highest performance standards) and provides a high level of staff training and supervision to industry Best Practice standards.
Gold status means the company also meet specific Quality Management System standards and offers a high level of insurance specification and preferment.
Securi-Guard is now aiming to add a fifth Gold accreditation this year for its dedicated security guarding service. This service is presently quality assured by National Quality Assurance.
