The Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC) is one of the most modern and advanced CCTV monitoring facilities in the sector, providing third party alarm receiving and CCTV monitoring services to a wide range of customers across many market sectors.
The CMC, which is based in Glasgow, will now be connecting the Identicom lone worker solution to an lmmix platform, in turn enabling those devices to be monitored.
Eric Roberts, CMC business bevelopment birector at Corps Security, explained: “This is part of Corps Security’s determination to offer an unrivalled level of service using the best possible technology, thereby providing a truly independent third party facility that is one of the best of its kind in the UK.”
He continued: “We have already received interest in the Identicom solution and are currently conducting a trial with the ‘man down’-enabled devices for a major blue chip company which, if successful, will result in an order for over 300 units.”
In addition, Corps Security will now be actively promoting Identicom to security professionals across a wide range of sectors, including transport and logistics, those working in the public sector (for councils, sheltered accommodation and in healthcare) as well as rail networks and retail organisations.
The CMC complies with BS 8418, the Code of Practice for the installation and remote monitoring of detector-activated CCTV systems, and will soon be accredited to BS 8484 (which ensures that a lone worker device service is ‘fit for purpose’).
Commenting on this new arrangement, Andrew Parry, UK channel manager at Connexion2, told Info4Security: “We’re delighted to welcome Corps Security as a new partner. The company’s 150-year history as one of the UK’s most established and respected specialist services providers with a reputation for excellence makes Corps Security a valued partner to assist in raising the profile of lone worker security.”
Corps Security enhances alarm monitoring capability with Chiron’s IRIS Secure Apps
Corps Security is offering enhanced alarm monitoring services to major corporate customers using Chiron’s IRIS Secure Apps alarm-over-IP signalling technology.
IRIS is proving particularly popular among major corporate users because of its “robustness, range of management control functions and its flexibility”.
Corps Security has now installed the IRIS Secure Apps system as part of an ambitious growth strategy for its CMC.
“Our monitoring operation is capturing market share very quickly and we have seen significant growth over the last year,” explained Eric Roberts. “We have chosen IRIS Secure Apps signalling technology because it gives us real operational advantages and positions us firmly within the corporate blue chip market.”
Corps Security opted to use the IRIS Secure Apps system after a period of rigorous assessment and feedback from major corporate users, and Chiron worked closely with Corps Security during the installation of IRIS Secure Apps.
“IRIS Secure Apps enables us to provide our customers with important benefits such as full reporting and data on all aspects oftheir monitored alarms and the assurance of a highly secure, robust signalling solution”, said Roberts.
“The system also allows installers that we work with to provide more efficient remote servicing and maintenance for their customers.”
Chiron’s Claire Brown asserted: “IRIS Secure Apps focuses on what alarm users really want. The system provides greater management control, improved signalling performance and better value for money.”
