Live trials for cloud-based lone worker management app

Developer Oko Media has started live trials of a new cloud-based worker management service app, called Scout.

The app was specifically designed for the security industry by security consultants to provide a cheap platform for electronic dispatch and service management.

The system works on smartphones and tablets and is aimed at allowing small businesses to provide a more professional service by using the app’s templates for site survey checklists, internal audit forms, and other documents.

Templates can be designed for jobs to be signed off in the field with a choice of response types including yes/no, time stamps, and client signatures.

Jobs are updated in real time allowing management and control staff to follow the progress of a job from their headquarters.

The system can also track licensing and certification details of workers, providing automated expiry reminders for staff and management.

The system will be adding in a security screening feature later this year, compliant to BS 7858: the standard relating to technology and systems that allow employers to screen security personnel before they employ them.
