The 700 GSM base stations in Kuwait are being protected by Sigma XT + extinguishant control panels.
The system is supplied and supported by local distributor ACC (Arabian Construction Company).
The fire system in each station is made up of an FM 200 extinguishant gas release system with Hochiki detectors, sounders and auxiliary devices.
In the event of a fire, the gas release and status is automatically signalled to the control centre.
The remote, unmanned stations are air conditioned and powered by generators with battery back-up to protect against the extreme temperatures.
They are part of the Viva mobile network, operated by STC (Saudi Telecom).
