Kuwait police put mobile CCTV on trial

The company, a subsidiary of AD group, belive the Kuwait Police Department selected the product for patrol car trial in response to an evaluation which began at the end of March.

According to TSS, once fitted in a police car, Radar Autovision can integrate accurate speed measurements with digital CCTV evidence of a vehicle that has exceeded the speed limit or committed other traffic violations. Designers also see potential for the technology to be used in a stationary or moving vehicle and to monitor offenders travelling towards or away from the police car.

Injifa Security Services, who specialise in the supply of cars and equipment to the police and military in Kuwait, saw the TSS systems on display at the Intersec exhibition in Dubai. Hasan Al Arabi, Executive Manager at the firm said:

“We were looking for an advanced digital solution which could deliver the right level of performance for the Kuwait Police and were impressed with Radar Autovision when we saw it during Intersec, giving us the confidence to put the TSS system forward for an intensive trail.”

The Kuwait Police test follows on from work that TSS has undertaken with other enforcement agencies in the region, including police forces in Dubai.
