Axis M30 Series mini domes unveiled

Axis has unveiled a new range of cost-effective fixed HDTV-performance mini domes for indoor surveillance, to be available in the third quarter of 2012.

The M30 series cameras measure just 10cm x 5cm and are designed for quick and flexible installation and have a three axis camera angle adjustment.

The M3004 has HD 720p 1MP resolution, and the M3005 streams a 1080p resolution.

Both cameras are PoE and come with a 2m network cable, and support Axis’ Camera Format for vertically oriented video streams that maximize coverage of vertical areas such as corridors, hallways or store aisles.

The Axis M30 series can send multiple H.2 and motion JPEG video stream simultaneously and support the Axis Camera Application platform enabling the installation of third-party intelligent video applications such as people counting.

They also feature a built-in micro SD card slot so images can be stored locally on a memory card in event of a data storage failure.

The cameras comply with ONVIF specification, and are easily compatible with various video management software applications though Axis’ application development partner programme, or the free Axis camera companion system.
