JVC set to launch four camera ranges

The four new CCTV camera line-ups include “innovative analogue and IP products” designed to be “suitable for a host of applications and environments”.

A number of key technology developments have been introduced within the company’s latest professional analogue and IP camera series, including H.264 High Profile and Super LoLux technology, all with “the high build quality” that JVC’s customers have come to expect.

Super LoLux HD cameras

Super LoLux HD cameras combine high performance DSP with CMOS sensors that output full 1920×1080 HD resolution and offer multi-codec support, including MJPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264 High Profile.

The cameras – a variety of box, integrated lens, mini-dome, outdoor dome and integrated housing models – feature JVC Super LoLux HD technology to match the sensitivity of its already well-established CCD models, plus new Clear Logic Video Intelligence (C.L.V.I.) image processing that compensates for back lighting and digitally removes ambient fog, haze or smoke for the clearest picture.

Other features include auto back focus, on-board recording to SD card, motion detection, privacy mask and a variety of built-in video analytics features (among them active tampering detection and audio detect).

The cameras support ONVIF and PSIA standards for network cameras, as well as a wide variety of leading video management software (VMS) platforms.

The official company press statement says: “An MTBF of 90,000 hours proves their reliability.”

LoLux HD cameras

Due to launch later this summer, models in the new range of LoLux HD cameras offer a 1080P CMOS sensor with SD card recording and ONVIF support.

There are three LoLux models in the range – a box camera, an indoor mini-dome and an IP66-rated outdoor mini-dome – each featuring 2D digital noise reduction, motion detection, WDR, alarm and audio support.

Super LoLux 2 cameras

Thanks to Super LoLux 2 technology, the new analogue cameras “deliver outstanding performance and precise colour reproduction” even at virtually zero light levels.

The range comprises of two 1/3″-type box cameras, one 1/2″-type box camera and two dome cameras. High resolution true 600 TVL images, powered by second generation 14-bit DSP, keeps pictures clear.

In addition, to meet the demands of modern traffic control the TK-9510 camera features Clear Logic Video Intelligence which automatically adapts to provide sharp, clear pictures under bad weather conditions.

The cameras also feature the ExDR (Extended Dynamic Range) Plus function, allowing them to clearly display people and characters in the foreground even when they’re up against a brightly-lit background.

With an MTBF from 77-93,000 hours, and 40% lower power consumption than conventional models, end users “can rely on the cameras whatever the conditions”.

LoLux IR cameras

Two new low light analogue CCTV cameras have been developed to meet the demands of low light applications, combining high resolution imaging with the latest integrated IR LED technology.

The TK-T8101WPRE external IR LoLux bullet camera and TK-T2101RE interior IR LoLux mini-dome cameras each deliver 600 TV lines, true day/night, easy WDR and 10-bit DSP, offering an excellent price/performance ratio.

Both models come complete with a range of useful security features such as motion detection, privacy masking and an IR cut-off filter, while automatic high light compensation for extreme white light is perfect for changeable conditions.
