ONVIF is an open industry Forum focused on the development of a global standard for the interface of network video products.
Members are committed to the adoption of network video in the security market, while the ONVIF standard is intended to ensure interoperability between network video products regardless of the manufacturer.
As a full member of ONVIF, Samsung Techwin will have the opportunity to actively participate in the development of the standard into the future.
Speaking to info4security about the news, James Smith – European marketing manager of Samsung Techwin’s professional security division – said: “Samsung Techwin’s iPOLiS range of IP/network products will be heavily bolstered over the coming months, with every new unit being ONVIF compliant. We’re very pleased to be able to provide end users with the widest possible choice by ensuring interoperability with a host of other equipment.”
