Hyderabad building owners who fail to register with GHMC regarding fire safety measures would have to face consequences. Owners must visit the GHMC website and register otherwise stern action will be initiated. Of the 20,164 buildings been identified in the GHMC area only 1,800 have been issued NOC, that is just 10 per cent.
The GHMC has asked all owners of hospitals, schools, function halls, timber depots, hotels and restaurants, malls and multiplexes to register their buildings on its website and to seek NOC. If this is not done the occupancy certificate or trade license of the building will be cancelled. (Source: Security Today)
