Taking place online this year due to the ongoing pandemic, the Women in Security award winners have been revealed.
The winners for each category were:
- Security Manager: Alison Isom-Leonard (Allied Universal Limited)
- Contribution to the Industry: Lisa Reilly (Global Interagency Security Forum)
- Business Manager: Angela Bennett (Diamond Systems)
- Technical: Elaine Moran (Hanwha Techwin)
- Frontline: Gemma Myring (OCS Group UK Ltd)
Elaine Moran, Technical Support & Field Engineers at Hanwha Techwin Europe, won the Technical category and said: “As someone who has always supported the objectives behind the Women in Security Awards, I am delighted to have won this prestigious award. Although there are a large number of women performing key roles within Hanwha Techwin, the security industry is still predominantly staffed by men. These Awards are therefore playing an important part in raising awareness of the contribution women make to our great industry.”
The National Security Inspectorate were one of this year’s sponsors, with Richard Jenkins, NSI Chief Executive, adding: “We have supported the Women in Security Awards for many years and have witnessed it become firmly established and keenly anticipated in the security events calendar. We send our warmest congratulations to each of the outstanding winners and finalists who are clearly leading by example and represent their organisations, and the security sector, in the very best light. We wish them all continued success in their careers.”
The ceremony can now be watched on demand, here.
