Aico catalogue launch

Fire safety specialist Aico has released a new 16-page brochure detailing its expanded range of fire protection products. The company’s new catalogue, Fire Protection for Electrical Installations, promises to be a useful source of advice for specifiers and installers looking to comply with relevant fire safety regulations, as well as a comprehensive guide to the products available.

Products covered in the catalogue include Firecap fire protection covers, which are designed to restore the fire rating of ceilings when a hole is cut to install downlights. It also details the company’s four new Firecap fire sleeves: one for electrical trunking, a second for pipes and conduits, a third for cable trays and a fourth for ventilation ducting.

Finally, the brochure also features Loftcap, a vapour and thermal seal for downlights fitted in the ceiling below a loft void. The product is designed to eliminate the passage of warm air through downlights from entering the loft void. If left unchecked, this can cause condensation to settle on roof timbers, which can lead the roof structure to rot.

A shorter version of the catalogue, in a handy, pocket-sized format, is also available.
