Hartley’s Confectioners bosses chose Detectomat’s RCP 6B Wireless Detect because they were told its installation would cause minimal disruption to the company’s busy baking schedule.
The safety measures, which were installed by Firetec Systems, include optical smoke detectors with integral sounders, break-glass call points and heat detectors.
Firetec recommended the system because it can be programmed and installed within three hours – an important benefit to a business that operates long hours throughout the week.
Detectomat said the system could be replicated at other Hartley’s outlets and that the RCP 6B is ideal for any business where disruption is expensive or commercially inconvenient.
Firetec offers its customers 24-hour telephone support and quarterly service visits in accordance with British standards.
