The company secured the GB pound 1.6m hospital contacts through Crown House Technology, following a successful partnership with Crown House on the security developments for Newcastle NHS Foundation Trust.
Crown House has awarded 2020 Vision the PFI contract for the new Forth Valley Acute Hospital in Larbert, near Falkirk. The 95,000 square metres new build hospital will provide 860 in-patient and day spaces.
2020 is contracted to provide the complete turnkey security package for the hospital, worth in excess of GB pound 1m. The package will consist of site wide CCTV with over 170 internal and external cameras, an access control system which will control access to 380 doors, 12 lifts, wards and staff areas, and 12 car park barriers, as well as an intruder detection system.
The company will also install an active baby tagging system, a staff attack system complete with both fixed and portable devices tagging, as well as disabled toilet alarms and a security control room.
Roseberry Park
Crown House has also awarded 2020 Vision with a GB pound 600,000 contract at Roseberry Park, the multi-million pound redevelopment of the current St Luke’s Hospital in Teesside. The site-wide CCTV project will cover external and internal areas of the hospital, along with access control and intruder detection alarms.
Bede Academy School in Blyth is the third December contract win for 2020 Vision, secured through electrical contractors Veale Nixon after the successful completion of a similar project at Newcastle’s Excelsior Academy School.
Proud and delighted
Peter Houlis, managing director of 2020 Vision, said: “I am delighted we are bucking the trend to secure such high value profile orders in the current economic down turn. It is testament to our reputation and the hard work of everyone at 2020 Vision.
“We have a team of which I am truly proud. Our sales guys in particular have certainly earned their Christmas break, but we won’t be resting on our laurels during a recession as crime prevention and detection becomes ever more important.
“This, coupled with the terrorist threat, global crime gangs and the need for companies to operate to maximim efficiency, means the need for real time management information provided by the latest generation digital security systems is at an all time high.”
