BSIA appoints Stefan Hay deputy chief executive

In addition, Chris Pinder has been appointed group projects manager, tasked with undertaking specific development work for both the BSIA and SITO.

As part of the management changes, market and export services director Stephen Adams – who has been a dedicated servant of the Association for many years – left the BSIA by mutual consent on Friday 31 December.

Commenting on the changes, BSIA chief executive David Dickinson told SMT: “The Council of the Association asked the executive to review the operations of the Association, ensuring that value for members was maintained and, wherever possible, enhanced in the changing world which we all inhabit. That review was completed and a ‘zero-based’ budget presented to Council at last November’s meeting. The review highlighted areas of overlap in provision within the BSIA and SITO.”

Dickinson added: “I’d like to extend my personal thanks to Stephen Adams for his help and support these past two years, and for his contribution to the BSIA’s work over a much longer period.”
