BT appoints Vigilance as Redcare CEO

Vigilance has worked in a number of roles within BT over the past decade. Prior to this, he worked in the mobile communications industry in both the UK and the US.

Roger’s BT appointments have included business development roles, a stint as chief executive of BT Direct (the online shopping business) and direct responsibility for mergers and acquisitions during a spell as corporate development director.

Building on a strong track record

Speaking about his latest appointment, Vigilance told info4security: “I’m delighted to be asked to take on this role. I look forward to working with all members of our team, engaging with our markets and customers and building on the very strong track record of achievements we’ve resalised over recent years.”

BT Redcare works with a network of business partners to provide a comprehensive range of security services, helping almost 400,000 organisations run their businesses safely and securely. The company is also a leading provider of CCTV transmission in the public sector, with more than 600 schemes across the UK.

BT Security Solutions and BT Payphones

The BT Security Solutions Team provides a range of end user solutions including IP CCTV, data storage and retrieval systems, Control Room systems, vulnerable worker protection systems and physical security such as fencing. A complete managed service is offered, including project specification, project management, installation, commissioning and maintenance.

BT Payphones, meanwhile, is one of the UK’s premier phone companies with almost 62,000 public payphones on the street and 15,000 managed payphones in locations such as airports, railway, bus and underground stations throughout the UK.
