The company say their Wirefree Fire Alarm system provided 24-hour coverage, cutting down on the amount of time guards were needed at the site.
The system is also said to have been interfaced with the main shopping centre’s fire detection system so that an early warning could be given in the event of an emergency.
Dirt and dust throughout the six-month project at the Primark store made smoke alarms useless, so 101 heat alarms and two call points with 2 interlinked control panels were used.
Detectomat say the system, which was in place for over 30 weeks, was commissioned and installed in just four days.
