The award was presented to Media Outcomes by the ACPO’s Crime Prevention Initiative managing director Richard Childs, who said that the company had demonstrated an ongoing and pro-active approach to security risk management.
An audit of the company’s security and safety policies was conducted by crime and security consultancy Perpetuity. Professor Martin Gill from the organisation described the accreditation as a fantastic achievement that sets a target others will want to reach.
He said: “This police accredited scheme has considerable potential to change the standards of crime prevention practice across the UK. Media Outcomes are an example of how important improvements in the security of people and property can be made efficiently and cost-effectively.”
Media Outcomes senior partner, Kevin Shapland, said he was delighted with the award.
“The safety and security of our staff, our premises and our clients sits at the top of our list of priorities and it is gratifying to know that the policies and procedures we have in place to ensure this are up to scratch,” he said.
Shapland also added that the accreditation process forced his business to look closer at issues including the security of clients’ information and staff safety.
