Norstrom has become a key figure in the development of CCTV standards. Having been elected vice-chairman of the BSIA’s CCTV Section in 2004, Pauline has since headed-up the TC10 Technical Committee within the BSIA which looks specifically at Best Practice. Through TC10, Norstrom has been actively involved in the development of a new Code of Practice for Digital Recording (see pp32-33 of this month’s edition) and has led consultations on this issue on both sides of the Atlantic (involving the FBI and our own Home Office).
Pauline is also a regular speaker on the industry circuit, and frequently writes for SMT on a host of end user-related CCTV issues.
Adam Wiseberg has been an active member of the BSIA’s CCTV Section for eight years, holding the position of chairman since 2001. He has been the driving force behind the development of landmark standards such as BS 8418 for detector-activated CCTV. Adam has served as chairman of the British Standards Institution Committee for CCTV Standards since 2001, and is an active member of the Cenelec Committee for European CCTV Standards.
Adam joined CCTV manufacturer AD Group in 1997 as sales and marketing director for RemGuard Visual Management, becoming managing director in 1999. Joining the Board of AD Group in the same year, Adam worked closely with Group founder Mike Newton, boosting turnover from GB pound 1 million to nearly GB pound 90 million within five years.
