CCTV: Dog takes itself on a high speed train ride

A Jack Russell disappeared from its owner’s home in Kent and took a train ride to London, all caught on CCTV.

The dog, called Frankie, sneaked out of the house as his owners left for work and walked 1.6 miles to Gravesend train station, where he boarded a high speed Javelin train bound for King’s Cross St Pancras station, in London.

After around half an hour exploring the train, he was caught by the train conductor, and presumably rebuked for travelling without a ticket.

His owners were shocked to get a call from Southeastern railways saying that their dog and been found and was 50 miles away in the nation’s capital.

They travelled to London themselves later and collected the dog. In a statement Southeastern said: “We’re pleased we were able to help reunite Frankie and his owners.”
