At a ceremony at Unipart House in Oxford, the Guarding Gold medal was presented to USS managing director Colin Moore by the NSI’s chief executive, Andrew White.
White said: “You aimed for the top and you achieved it, putting Unipart Security Solutions in the top tier of the industry.”
The unique, numbered and framed Gold medal, produced exclusively for NSI by the Royal Mint, is awarded to companies which have achieved Guarding Gold approval, the premier scheme for companies involved in the provision of manned security services in the UK.
By meeting Guarding Gold requirements, Unipart Security Solutions can assure its customers that it delivers the highest standards of service, a statement from the company said.
“Whilst qualifying for NSI Gold, USS also became the first in the man guarding industry to meet the new BS EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System standard,” it said.
Moore said: “We will not compromise on our policy of employing the best possible people. It is also fundamental to our way of working that we always establish standard operating procedures for each contract, thus ensuring that we can always measure what we are delivering against agreed customer expectations.”
