Dycon filters personal alarms

It allows the ARC operator to quickly analyse the source and cause of the alarm, reducing false alarms and increasing reliability.

In the event of an intrusion or violence towards staff, the panic button transmits the initial alarm to the ARC. When receiving the transmission, the ARC operator can dial back into the premises and listen in to live audio.

A miniature microphone transmits suspicious sounds (such as breaking glass or shouting/threats), which enables the operator to confirm that the alarm activation is genuine (audible signs of a break-in or robbery). The police can then be called to respond to the alarm urgently.

Microphones are housed in a small plastic case that can be surface or corner mounted and each has a two-wire connection designed to operate over long lengths of standard alarm cable without suffering from interference.

Dycon’s 5000 Series comprises a small, low-current control unit which can be housed in the same enclosure as the alarm control panel and is easily connected to the majority of alarm detectors, including personal attack devices.

The system is fully ACPO and DD243 compliant, and the audio verification unit is small enough to be fitted inside most alarm panel housings.
