Over the last 18 months ESPlus has delivered CCTV, perimeter and access control solutions at some of Wincanton’s most important sites, including warehousing and storage facilities for household name companies.
ESPlus has also project-managed the installation of intruder alarm systems by third party contractors including Secom.
Now ESPlus has been named as just one of a handful of preferred security suppliers serving more than 400 Wincanton sites across Europe.
Diverse operation
Paul Regan, Wincanton’s group profit protection manager, explained how the diversity of the operation that he oversees poses a particular set of challenges.
“With more than 400 sites to keep secure Wincanton wants to work with suppliers who understand what we want and can be trusted to work with individual site managers at ground level to deliver these objectives on time and within budget.
“We follow carefully defined security principles, but we know that every site has its own particular challenges. The locations vary a great deal. Our operations range from state of the art half a million square foot retail supply chain units to the latest recycling and reverse-logistics facilities. They also include archives and storage facilities where security is integral to the customer proposition.”
Many of the sites include external storage areas too, so ESPlus has also helped to upgrade Wincanton’s security with the latest perimeter systems.
“The safety and security of our people and our premises is of the paramount importance,” Regan said. “All our preferred suppliers have to understand our requirements and give us consistently high customer service.”

ESPlus provides integrated security solutions, ranging from CCTV, access control and perimeter security to EAS tagging.
