FAAC gate operator installed at exclusive home

New homes in the area are all individually designed and equipped with the latest technology. The 770 underground swing gate operator has been used to automate gates to a recently completed property. Providing easy ‘in and out’ access, the wrought iron gates open onto a sweeping crescent-shaped driveway to the house.

The specification required an operating system that was both discrete and reliable. Chiltern recommended the FAAC operator as the motor is completely concealed, preserving the appeal of the perimeter railings and wrought iron gates.

Other benefits of the system include manual release on both the inside and outside of the gate leaf, secured by key. A stop system built into the foundation box eliminates the need for an obtrusive centre gate stop. Access control is via a video entry system with wireless extension for remote control by designated telephone (including mobile phones) and by key fob wireless transmitters.

The FAAC 770 operator is suitable for gates for up to 500kg per leaf and up to 2.5 metres in length. Anti-crush protection is ensured by an electronic device on the control board and a separate foundation box ensures that the operator can be easily removed for routine maintenance without removing the gate leaf.
