A newly opened Beatles-themed boutique hotel in Liverpool has had a fire detection and alarm system installed by Dante Fire Security. The 4-star Hard Day’s Night Hotel is situated in a Grade-II listed building in the city’s Cavern district.
In addition to its bedrooms and themed suites, it has a bar and two restaurants, conference rooms, a souvenir shop and a gallery featuring ‘Fab Four’ memorabilia.
The ID 3000-based system uses Notifier’s SMART4 multi-criteria fire detectors, which combine four separate sensing elements in a single integrated unit. These are CO sensing for monitoring carbon monoxide products from a fire, infra-red sensing for measuring ambient light levels and flame signatures, optical smoke detection and heat detection.
“In keeping with the hotel’s state-of-the-art facilities, we wanted to ensure that our guests also benefited from the very latest in fire detection by ensuring fast reaction times without the inconvenience of false alarms,” said Brent Ramsell, the hotel’s buildings facilities manager. “In selecting a Notifier solution from Dante, we have achieved the ideal combination of technologically advanced yet robust and cost effective detection equipment backed up by first-class consultancy and support.”
