Kopex International claims to be the first manufacturer of electrical conduit to gain IECEx certification for one of its products. Following tests carried out by BASEEFA, the ATEX flameproof gland now complies to the requirements of IEC 60079-0 / 1 & 7, making it compliant with the International Electrochemical Commission’s global certification scheme for explosive atmospheres.
IECEx Certification is designed to cross national boundaries and set an international standard of conformity. The scheme is aimed at facilitating international trade in electrical equipment while maintaining the required level of safety.
