G4S Technology has today announced the launch of version 7 of their Symmetry Security Management System.
The most significant update to the system is a redesigned user interface (UI) that displays all menus and toolbars in a series of function-related tabs to help with objective based workflows.
Version 7 is available to all Symmetry software suites including Professional, Enterprise and Global editions and will be compatible with all optional modules currently available.
G4S Technology managing director for international sales, David Young, says this will give customers “a straightforward growth path for the future.”
Other key new features include:
- Task Manager enables users to create, process and manage tasks efficiently;
- Alarm acknowledgement and management functions streamlined;
- Additional hardware integration for Honeywell Galaxy intrusion panels and NEC Express Cluster;
- New optional modules including Symmetry Workflow Designer, a tool for users to define specific workflows for alarm acknowledgements, and Safety Roll Call (Muster).
G4S Technology has also ‘redefined’ the way that licensing is achieved in the Symmetry system.
In their release they say: “With Symmetry V7, card reader licenses and Network video integrations, cameras or third party video systems, can be added as required, providing easy security system expansion when needed. There is also extended support for Sony and Panasonic Network Camera models.”
