Gold standard for SCS Security Design

The accreditation followed a rigorous two-year assessment that examines all aspects of operational procedure, including administration and engineering processes, along with customer service levels.

SCS Security Design, part of the Scottish Communications Group, specialises in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of CCTV and access control systems, and the coveted Gold Standard is widely recognised by organisations such as insurance companies, police forces and local authorities as an independent stamp of approval for security suppliers that offer best practice procedures.

According to Paul Gibson, managing director of SCS, the award will provide a springboard for further business expansion in Scotland and the rest of the UK. A key target will be to further develop sales to Police forces and agencies of SCS’s successful miniature CCTV cameras that can be head or body-worn.

Team effort
Brian Davidson, general manager, said: “We are delighted to have won approval, which is the culmination of two years hard work.

“It has been a tremendous team effort to have achieved this approval and the Gold standard will prove extremely useful as we seek to further develop the business and attract new customers.”

Julian Stanton of the National Security Inspectorate said: “We congratulate SCS Security Design in achieving NACOSS Gold approval, which is the highest possible level of achievement for the security systems sector.

“Companies with this level of approval are recognised as providers of the best standards of service and this can ultimately lead to them enjoying increased levels of business.”
