Of the 42 door staff checked in 17 pubs and bars, 98 per cent were working legally, with only the one individual working without an SIA licence.
Sharon Roberts, an SIA head of investigation, said: “The compliance with SIA regulation was very high and it is reassuring for the public to know that when they go for a night out they are being protected by trained and professional door supervisors licensed by the SIA.”
