Home town launch for AMS Australia

The official launch was held in Canberra in the presence of Jon Stanhope, Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Australia.

The WISDM 3000 Series access door control units are designed for high-profile security installations, and are suitable for any areas where security and crime reduction are needed, such as government, transport, education and utilities applications. WISDM 3000 has a low visual impact and can be easily integrated into a CCTV monitoring system.

Also featured at the launch was AMS Australia’s new Monitor Access Panel (MAP) for walls, floors and ceilings, which company director Trevor Leisk describes as “a new way to think about secure access hatches”.

Perfect platform
“These are exciting times for AMS Australia,” Leisk said.

“The nomination for WISDM 3000 was the second time in three years that we’ve been recognised in the IFSEC Security Industry Awards, and gave us the perfect global launch platform for the product.

“In May of this year we also received a Canberra BusinessPoint Innovation and Commercialisation Award, so it was only fitting for us to return to our home city to launch WISDM 3000 and the AMS MAP onto the Australian market.”

From October 2008, both WISDM 3000 and AMS MAP will be available in the UK through a separate company, AMS Australia UK Ltd.

The company’s products are already in use in other countries including Hong Kong, China, Japan, Malaysia and India.
