Honeywell adds to bullet camera line

Designers claim the HCD92534X’s combination of infrared LEDs and high resolution recording at 530 TVL makes it perform exceptionally well in low light.

External access to the controls allows users to adjust settings like power output, zoom and focus control without opening the camera.

Peter Simmons, product manager at Honeywell, believes this feature preserves the waterproof rating of the camera and improves its overall reliability.

“Installers and users alike will find that this camera offers exceptional low light performance and low video noise, and they will appreciate the fact that it’s quick to install and easy to set up,” he said.

Honeywell claims the HCD92534X, which is designed for indoor and outdoor use, can operate in “extremely dark” conditions where object detection and recognition is critical.

Digital noise reduction (DNR) technology has been added to reduce the degradation of quality that images suffer in low light. By ensuring lower interference in the pictures, DNR should provide better video performance and increased storage capacity on digital video recorders.

The HCD92534X is being marketed towards the residential, retail, educational and commercial markets. To find out more, visit the Honeywell website.
