One of North America’s largest security systems integrators has acquired the identification division of Mountainland Business Systems.
The identification, security and presentation divisions of the Utah-based company provide a range of access control, CCTV and biometric systems to customers in Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Montana and Wyoming.
Identisys president Debra Ferril described the acquisition as “truly exciting”.
“We welcome the ID sales and service colleagues from Mountainland,” said Ferril, “and look forward to providing an expanded product portfolio to the ID and security marketplace along with unparalleled customer service, exceptional account management and on-site services.”
Identisys was founded in 1999 by Michael Shields who’s still CEO of the integrator. He said that this latest acquisition will help the organisation expand further West from its headquarters in Minnesota.
Shields explained: “This purchase is our tenth identification acquisition in the last seven years and our third acquisition in the past six months. These acquisitions support our constant, targeted growth strategy to expand our geographic coverage. In addition to geographical expansion, we also focus on constant product expansion to better meet the needs of our customers.”
