IFSEC 2011: Win free parking spaces via Twitter

In a bid to increase its reach on the social media site, the IFSEC team has two passes for Birmingham’s NEC car park to give away to visitors that follow IFSEC via Twitter. For a chance to win, users should submit the message “RT follow @IFSEC and tweet #IFSECComp to win a free car parking pass during IFSEC 2011”.

The security show’s marketing team, which already has a total of 1,776 followers on Twitter, aims to gather 2,000 in the lead-up to the event.

Organiser UBM Live’s head of marketing, Jo Mayer, said:

“Social media is a great tool for events to engage with their audience. @IFSEC has been an excellent communication channel to engage with both visitors and exhibitors by tweeting and re-tweeting the latest industry news. This prize will give something tangible back to our loyal audience to reduce the cost of visiting what still remains the security industry’s showpiece event.”

The team also invited users to provide real-time Twitter feedback while at the show by using #IFSEC.

The competition is only valid for visitors to the show. The winners will be announced via Twitter.
