Images of IFSEC 2008

I noticed a boat, several cars, stands shaped like castles, other with what looked like giant sails… Certain areas of the show seemed bathed in futuristic blue neon, and others were full of people jumping as they heard another alarm go off.

Crowds filled the seminar theatres, the IFSEC 2008 conference, the new Select lounge, and the International Visitors’ lounge – and of course the many fine, fine dining establishments for which the NEC, and other exhibition venues around the world, are famed.

The sheer size of the event is enough to intimidate, but it never quite manages to overwhelm the human element, with nearby exhibitors and visitors sharing in the business joy and physical pain of four days worth of networking, demonstrating, socialising and chatting.

It all provides for a rich landscape, not only for the copious CCTV cameras, but also for the good old fashioned stills photographer. Here we’ve gathered some of our shots on the right. We’ll be adding to them in future.

But our pictures here can only ever tell part of the story. If you’ve got IFSEC photos you’d like to see online, send them through to us at the address below.
