As a strong supporter of the Private Security Industry Act, the BSIA is fully in favour of this action which follows the deployment of unlicensed operatives by Securiplan plc. We and our members support robust investigation of breaches of the Act, and are pleased that this case has been brought to an appropriate conclusion.
We also welcome the fact that Securiplan plc will pay GB pound 550,000 costs to the Regulator – a cost which licence payers may otherwise have incurred.
The case’s conclusion has provided clarity to any company tempted to deploy unlicensed operatives that this approach will not be tolerated.
